5th Panhellenic Trail Conference
The Municipality of Kaisariani in cooperation with the Hiking Group of Hymettus hosted the 5th Panhellenic Trail Meeting in the area of the Town Hall of Kaisariani.
The event, the 5th in a row, is now an institution and aims to disseminate hiking, exchange knowledge and good practices, to inform on institutional issues and of course to strengthen cooperation and information about what is happening in the field of hiking.
The programme of activities included events and actions such as presentations of trails from all over Greece, trends and perspectives around the field of hiking tourism, new technologies, educational framework and open tours in trail areas.
Part of Ymittos trail in the Aesthetic Forest of Kaisariani, which is clean and marked, it aspires to make Ymittos a focal point of suburban hiking, attracting not only residents of the surrounding areas but also tourists who would like to get to know another side of Athens.
Caius presented with its members George Mendrinos and Marios Glytsos the capabilities of digitizing trails with representatives from many regions of Greece expressing their interest in implementing these new techniques in their regions.
