On July 17, 2024, a networking event was held at the Corallia premises of the Athena Research Center, organized by ESA BIC Greece, the Business Incubation Centre of the European Space Agency in Greece. The event brought together over 40 representatives from companies and organizations within the Greek space ecosystem. Central to the event were the innovative startups that are either currently being incubated or have successfully completed the incubation program.
Among the highlights was Caius, a successful graduate of the ESA BIC Greece incubation program, which presented its groundbreaking services. Caius combines Artificial Intelligence with satellite and geomorphological data to study forest areas, focusing on the automated monitoring and discovery of forest trails. The applications provided by Caius are designed for both forest protection authorities and nature enthusiasts who visit these areas.
At the conclusion of the event, the Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, awarded Caius along with seven other space startups for their successful progress over the past two years in the rapidly growing and promising field of geospatial analytics.
